Angra é uma banda brasileira de metal, formada na cidade de São Paulo em 1991, pelo vocalista e tecladista Andre Matos e os guitarristas Kiko Loureiro e Rafael Bittencourt, após os três se conhecerem na Faculdade Santa Marcelina, onde os três faziam faculdade de composição e regência. Andre Matos anteriormente havia feito parte do Viper (entre 1985 e 1990), mas deixou a banda por motivos pessoais, e Rafael Bittencourt fazia parte da banda Spitfire. Logo após entraram na banda os músicos Luis Mariutti (baixo), Marco Antunes (bateria) e Andre Linhares (guitarra).A banda passou por uma grande reformulação, após a sáida de Andre Matos, Luís Mariutti e Ricardo Confessori. Porém, estes foram substituídos a altura (algo que parecia impossível) com a chegada de Edu Falaschi (vocal), Felipe Andreoli (baixo) e Aquiles Priester (bateria).
